| Name: | Dr. Daniel Jackson |
|---|---|
| Birthdate: | 1965-07-08 |
Character, series- Dr. Daniel Jackson, Stargate SG-1 (sometime after season 7)
Digimon partner- Bokomon
D-Comm colours/symbol- White and Blue; Symbol is the Ancient word for 'Wisdom'
Character age- 39
Character history-
Daniel Jackson was an only child and for the majority of his life also an orphan due to an accident at the Metropolitan Museum of Art that killed his parents. Placed in foster care because his grandfather didn't want to care for him, Daniel had a relatively normal life growing up. Eventually he attended college where he became fascinated with ancient civilizations and began to theorize that the pyramids of Egypt weren't just pyramids but landing sites for alien space crafts. Of course this resulted in the majority of the academic community shunning him. However it is because of this research that Daniel is initially brought into the Stargate program to help decipher the code behind the symbols on the gate. He does so successfully and goes to Abydos with Jack O'Neill. There he falls in love with Sha're and while O'neill returns to Earth after the mission, Daneil remains on the alien planet with his wife.
A year later, however, O'Neill returns from Earth to recruit Daniel to the SGC and Daniel declines at first until Apophis kidnaps his wife and takes her for his queen. Hoping to find a way to get her back he agrees to join the SGC. Over the course of the next few years Daniel puts all his resources to use in not only getting his wife back but defeating the parasitic alien race of the Goa'uld as a whole. Daniel and SG-1 take down many of the Goa'uld's while also going through some pretty crazy stuff: alternate universes, time travel, various illnesses and backfiring technology and of course traveling to many other worlds in the Galaxy.
It is on one of these worlds that Daniel visits that he is exposed to a vast amount of radiation and eventually "dies." I use quotation marks because in reality Daniel ascends to a higher plane of reality with the help of an Ancient named Oma. He stays in this plane for a year before finally getting fed up with their policy on 'no interference in the lower realms' and is then set back to the human plane of existence with no memory of his time before. He eventually retains his memories of his life before but never fully remembers what happened while he was Ascended. Daniel eventually helps discover an Ancient Outpost in Antarctica while he was trying to find the Lost City of the Ancients.
Character personality-
Daniel is a very intelligent person who loves nothing more than dropping down with a good book about ancient cities or mythology and reading his brains out. If he isn't reading a book he's probably writing something or more than likely trying to decipher some form of Ancient text or another. He likes to believe there is good in all people and this often gets him in arguments with Jack who tends to think just the opposite. He can get a bit ahead of himself when trying to explain something and as such usually has to repeat himself a lot so others will understand what he is saying. Daniel enjoys a good puzzle and do to his many years working with Jack has also slowly developed his own form of sarcasm. He is generally the rational person of the group next to Sam.
